Knitting Pattern

One of our fabulous organisers Sue came up with these patterns for us.  Thank you Sue!

Roses

Cast on 60 sts

Rows1-4 Knit

Row 5 (Right side)* K5, rotate left hand needle counterclockwise 360degrees, repeat form* to end

Rows 6 and 7 * K2 tog, repeat from * to end

Row8 K1, *k2 tog, repeat from * to end

Row 9 repeat row 6 (4 sts)

Pass 2nd, 3rd and 4th stitches over the 1st. Pass yarn through stitch and break yarn leaving a tail to stitch up. Twist into a rose shape and sew to secure.

Petal - can be used as a leaf

Row 1 (right side) K2, yo, k1, yo k2 (7sts)

Row 2 and all even rows, Purl

Row 3 K3, yo, k1, yo, k3 (9sts)

Row 5 K4, yo, k1, yo, k4 (11 sts)

Row 7 K5, yo, k1,yo, k5 (13sts)

Row 9 and 11 Ssk, k4, yo,k1 ,yo, k4, k2tog

Row 13 Ssk, k9, k2 tog (11sts)

Row15 Ssk,k7, k2 tog (9 sts)

Row 17 Ssk,k5, k2tog (7sts)

Row 19 Ssk,k3, k2 tog (5 sts)

Row 21 Ssk, k1, k2 tog (3 sts )

Row 23 Sk2p( sl 1 st as if to knit, k2 tog, pass slipped st over k2 tog) (1st)

Fasten off.
