Yarn & printed instructions

From Monday thanks to a very kind donor, you can pick up a ball of white yarn and a sheet of printed instructions for a knitted and a crocheted snowflake from Iapetus Gallery, Belle Vue Terrace, Great Malvern.

Completed snowflakes can also be dropped off at Iapetus Gallery or can be brought along on the 29th November at 10.30am for the big installation if you'd like to help put them up.

The snowflakes can be made to any pattern, in any size and yarn, all we ask is that they're white.  I'm making mine with DK weight wool with a 4mm crochet hook if that helps anyone.  Several of the knitting patterns I've put links to in the previous post are actually for stars, but knitted in white they'll make lovely snowflakes.

Thank you to Margaret for suggesting that children or people who can't knit or crochet could make snowballs by making pompoms  with white wool.  These will also be very welcome and look great alongside the snowflakes.

If you could leave the end of the yarn on the snowflake/snowball approx 30-40cms (12-15") that would make it easier for us to put them up.  Don't worry if you've already woven in the ends though, we can attach a thread for them to hang from.
